Taylor Dougall is a Vancouver based jewellery artist behind Taylor Frances Jewellery. Born in Scotland, she came to Canada as a small child and grew up in Port Coquitlam. Taylor has always been a creator; from making dioramas for books she read, to drawing on any blank surface available, she would never pass up the opportunity to add her own artistic touch to what she was doing.

Her jewellery journey began in 2020, when she began making beaded bracelets during lockdown. She quickly found her passion for jewellery making and enrolled in night classes in metalsmithing as soon as it was allowed. Through this, she realized that a career in jewellery was not only a possibility, but something that truly spoke to her.

Taylor is currently in her second year of the Jewellery Art and Design program at VCC and is planning on taking the Professional Gemmology Program with the Canadian Gemmological Association. She finds design inspiration in music, books, nature, and enjoys using references to History and Scottish culture in her work. She believes in celebrating all of life’s joys and milestones, and through her jewellery she loves to help people commemorate their own special moments.
